After downloading all seasons of Game of Thrones in 720 p my Samsung 1 TB external HD was too crowded. Bought so soon this exaggeration of Seagate disk, with 3 TB!
Compared to my former Samsung This is much more stout. I ended up opting for the bigger version because the portable version was more expensive and had only 2 TB.
Inside the box we have a unusual USB cable, a fountain and a manual totally useless.
It worries me a little: the USB cable to connect the HD to your computer is very unusual. I can't lose him at all!
After we have the power connector (12V) and the USB connector.
The unit is great, slightly smaller than a CD/DVD drive.
Plugged in my USB 3.0 and the data transfer rate reached 70 MB/s. Not bad for an external drive, certainly better than a lot of internal HD old.
Benchmarking CrystalDiskMark confirms the record rate of 70 MB/s, While the sequential reading is around 90 MB/s. My old 500 GB SATA HD, that today is no longer my main, is only 5 ~ 10% faster than this external drive! Fortunately, I have a Samsung SSD!
Great purchase, made here in Brazil even using price comparator BoaDica. Always search because sometimes it's not worth buying in Chinese websites, sellers of Brazil are just a little bit more expensive. This was R$324,00. Now yes, plenty of room for all series and movies in high quality!
Enjoy and have a look at the external HDs in DealExtreme: http://www.dx.com/s/external hd usb
This is a micro usb cable 3.0 common. You can also use normal micro usb cables, but there will work as usb 2.0.
Hugs!
You're right, This is the default 3.0. It's a very strange cable…
Beautiful HD and paid well for him. I bought this external HD in 2011 in the us and I paid only $ 87. The link is broken. Has how to fix? I was interested in buying another and the price it's really good.
I fixed the link. Is to the page you are looking for external HDs Boadica in stores of Rio de Janeiro. I also found the good price.
