Toy helicopters are very common in China. I bought five and this is the best of them.
Both the toy helicopters as the real have a problem well-known project: When the propellers begin to spin and push the air down there is a reaction that makes all the aircraft rotating around its own axis. One of the solutions to avoid this problem is to install four screws and make a pair spin in the opposite direction to the other. This stabilizes the helicopter and allows the controller to worry just with positioning.
To make the helicopter go forward or backward, there is a small pair of propellers at the rear that tilts the entire body of the helicopter to the desired direction.
The controls are very good. This helicopter has three channels: a to control up/down, another to go forward/backward and one to Rotate clockwise/counterclockwise.
Most of the Chinese helicopter controls works with infrared and not with RF. At the top of the remote control you can see the three transmission leds. Do not use the toy on open environment because the signal ends up not coming and the flight is much more difficult. Out that any Gale takes the helicopter to fly away.
