Lenovo K910 Vibe Z – the best of China

Continuing my bi-annual exchange of mobile, introduce the Lenovo K910 Vibe Z. One of the best phones I have ever used and certainly the best of the Chinese.

The Vibe is one of those big phones Z, as well as the Galaxy Tab, but with the screen of 5.5 inches. It is very light, as much as a small phone. Don't let the edge of the table or you can go with any sudden movement.

The front is black with silver details and the back is silver.

There's the silver rear part with the Lenovo brand and the camera with two flash leds.

Inside the box we have a headset, USB cable and a source. Everything seems to be of great quality.

This is a Dual Chip, Although the form of swap the chip is quite complicated. Comes with this tool which should be stuck in a small hole on the side of a lateral compartment.

In this tray two plugins for microSim card. I had to cut my Vivo chip using a stapler that also bought in China.

Calling the cell phone have the interface called Lenovo Launcher. This is my first time seeing a unique interface that makes you want to keep. Everything works perfectly. You can drag the icons, create folders and notification of new messages (the number “1” in red upon the message icon).

Only a few details I didn't like. It is not allowed to change the icons or delete icons that you don't use. Other than that, perfect! He even let put great pictures as Wallpaper and follows standard show both sides every window.

The settings follow a pattern with white background. Very pretty. There are options for WiFi, Bluetooth, WLAN Location and also supports 3 g on all frequencies here from Brazil.

There are also a number of options in the tab “feature”, as the mode “Pocket” that increases the ringtone if the cell phone is stored inside the folder or bag. Really works.

The phone came with Android 4.2 and as soon as I arrived I switched to Android 4.4 Kitkat. I didn't want to have changed, because the former also functioned very well. The problem was the fact that there is no option for Portuguese in the original Android came on the phone. After some searches, I found a firmware in the multilingual site NeedRom.

The translation is not very good, as there are still a lot of things in English and even one or other information in Chinese even!

The AnTuTu Score is fantastic: 33669! This performance puts the Vibe Z above Samsung S4 and behind only the phones of first line like the S5, the Galaxy Note and the Xperia Z1.

The Lenovo K910 QuadCore CPU Qualcomm SnapDragon possesses with maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. A bad thing: It has no memory card slot!

The CPU and memory performance fantastic phone explained. Everything loads very fast and works perfectly.

The rear camera is 13.1 M and 5 m Pixels front. The screen has FullHD resolution with 480 DPI.

When the phone arrived some of the first photos were with focus problem, but apparently this was a firmware defect. With the new firmware the K910 is a fast camera, with good focus and colorfast. I don't understand differences of this phone to any other of good brand. There are many options in the camera software, including HDR and macro.

Lenovo has a system that makes update camera software, Gallery, Launcher and other. Even without updating the firmware you can get new features and bug fixes.

There is a picture of the coin, in resolution of 1200×900 not to spend my band site! The maximum resolution of the camera is 4208×3120!

Has WiFi Display support, passing the screen for any TV that supports the Miracast system.

The music software, though partly in Chinese, lets play (and download) a lot of songs online.

Just do a search and download the music you want!

Take a look at the Status Bar and in the notifications screen. Very nice and it is still possible to customize! You can download themes from the internet directly from the phone. There are not many options, but it's nice to know that it is possible. You can also download themes for the Home and lock screen.

There are a number of Lenovo's own software that comes installed on your mobile phone. There is a security system and a battery-saving.

About the GPS I can say that this is, without doubt, the best navigation system for Android that I've seen work. The screen shot below was captured 10 seconds after you enable the GPS receiver. Generally you can get the location in less than 5 seconds. Very good!

The only bad things I found in the Hardware was the absence of the memory card slot and the impossibility of removing the battery. It seems that the staff of the community disassembled the phone and managed to change the battery, but surely that is something much harder to do than it should.

In the software I had problems with some Chinese applications and with no option to Portuguese, What has been resolved with the new firmware. Even so, There's a lot still in English in options, What is not a problem so serious.

Another defect was the Dialer, that embanana with the AREA CODE of Brazil and can't find one of my contacts. I corrected this problem by using an App called Number Fixer, to add the AREA CODE to all contacts. It worked!

Despite this defeitinhos is small, without doubt, the best Chinese phones that arrived in my hands. I've gotten much better my impression about the Lenovo brand, here in Brazil sells mainly computers and notebooks.
