To replace my old Samsung Netbook I bought this Christmas a notebook from Asus: the VivoBook S200e-CT253h. So far I have liked this!

The notebook is very beautiful: has the screen of 11.6 inches and weighs only 1, 4 kg. I think it's great because that's exactly what I wanted: portability.
On one side of the notebook we have the connectors: of source, RJ45 (that opens down to enter the cable), HDMI and two USBs.
The keyboard is pretty and practical. I don't really like the frame of the LCD screen, because it seemed a little too big. Maybe you could do a notebook of 12 inches with a smaller frame.
On the other side: a connector for SD memory, headset, a USB and a D-SUB connector (VGA).
In my opinion the Asus could have tried to ease some of the touchpad and have done a smaller notebook, more on netbook style.
Could they not have pasted this sticker on the screen, but I think it's to assure the user that the screen is actually touchscreen. A little too reflective, as we can see.
Comes with Windows 8, which as everyone knows sucks. But I didn't think it was a good idea exchange. Touchscreen support and the simplicity of the interface seemed appropriate for this notebook. On the desktop I still think Windows 8 inappropriate.
The damn windows 8 requires you to create an account to log in. I found it interesting to be able to type on the screen in addition to the keyboard…
The WiFi is pretty good because it recognized a network truck here near my house. My tablets usually only take a few 5 or 6.
The Touchscreen is incredibly useful and interesting. It is perfectly possible to click on an icon or select them on the screen. Easy to use and very accurate.
The screen has a fairly good brightness, but nothing too amazing. The resolution is low, only 1366 x 768 in 16:9.
There are versions of this notebook with more or less memory and different processors. Stay tuned as this is an i3 with 4 GB memory.
The only bad thing I found in the laptop is the battery time: just 4:00 to ask to connect to a source. The good news is that the font is small and you can carry everywhere.
The metro interface doesn't seem so bad when using the touchscreen.
The notebook also comes with a version “trial” the Office and McAfee antivirus. Both properly uninstalled. There are also some programs from Asus that I'm still testing and thinking if I will keep.
I found a few negative reviews of this notebook on the internet. Most claimed TouchPad, that didn't work right. I even found some notebooks in stores with lousy touchpad. That didn't happen with my notebook, so apparently the Asus corrected the defect.
Some obvious claims found in the reviews are related to the fact that it doesn't work well with games or have poor performance. Really, It's not a super fast machine, but for the day to day work works very well. As I didn't buy it for games, I thought it was really good.
It was a great purchase, made in Extra site for only 1108 real Boletus. If I had bought a notebook in China, can this same price excluding taxes, I don't believe that would have made a good deal. At the beginning of year the product was a little more expensive, but just wait another promotion. Very carefully because there are shops selling very similar versions of this laptop with intel dual core processor and only 2 GB. I don't think these versions are worth, because it should be even slower.
