These were the best rechargeable batteries I bought until today: Soshin.
Know what you're thinking. This guy's going to buy a lot of batteries? I bought some 5 or 6 brands, all worse than this.
They cost about 10 dollars in a set of four AA. Comes sealed with a plastic box for storing when not using.
I have two sets of AA and two AAA. All working even after more than a year of use.
The batteries comes marked 2500mAh, 1.2V, 14-16 hours in a conventional charger and 4 to 6 hours in a charger “Quick”. Just too much going on, like everything that comes from China.
I think it's unlikely that this battery hold more than 1A for 1 hour, but it works well. I tested on my led lamp with sensor of presence and lasts about a month. All other rechargeable batteries that used to last a little over a week.
Of course it's really overkill 2500mAh. The Chinese batteries have gained status of PMPO. Divide by 3 When it is good and 10 When it's bad.
Although these batteries have some bad reviews on DealExtreme, still I think it's very good. When rechargeable batteries do not work right may not be the fault of the manufacturer, some equipment were not designed to work with voltage of 1.2 V instead of the traditional 1.5 V conventional cell. Wireless mice can complain that the battery is old very quickly and can lock wall clocks. Test on various electronics before you make sure that the default is same in rechargeable battery.
