I've bought many rechargeable batteries in China and I always wanted to buy one of these smart Chargers that make tests and give refresh in old batteries. Finally I decided to spend some money and buy this BT PowerFocus-C3100. This charger can automatically load Li-ion batteries, NiCd and NiMH of any of the usual sizes.
The manual is all in Chinese! I'm so glad it's easy to learn to use.
There's the charger has 4 independent stalls. You can charge a battery while doing refresh in another and a third. Very cool! The batteries can also be completely different, as in the photo below. The charger measures the battery voltage and the shows on the display.
Pressing the DISPLAY button at any time you can read the charge current, the capacity of the stack (After tested) and the time when the battery is charging the appliance.
To perform the load you can choose between the current options: 200, 300, 500, 700 and 1000mA. The source that feeds the charger is only 3A, IE, should not give to charge four batteries at maximum current. When you put an unknown load pile begins at 500mA, and may decrease if the charger discover be more suitable.
You can load different cells at the same time, as these white are NiCd and the left who are MiMH. There is also a backlight in the display!
There is a Quick Test system to test the batteries quickly. However, I found the result totally crazy. The normal test, that is quite slow, consists in charging the battery completely and then check how long does it take to download it. The loader does this automatically. Below is the result:
The AAA battery, Philips, gave 254mAh, which is pretty good for this size. The MOX brand (White with marking 4300mAh) only 485mAh. Li-ion battery, which has 3.7 V voltage, tagged 248mAh and big stack 18650, also of LiIon, tagged amazing 2205mAh.
While charging it is possible to view the time when the battery is plugged into the charger.
To fit batteries of different sizes there is a spring-loaded sliding connector. You can load from battery lower than AAA until the big one 18650. To load batteries D or C one should buy a adapter.
The buttons at the bottom are: MODE, to switch the mode between load, unloading, test, quick test and refresh. DISPLAY, to change the information on the display. CURRENT, to change the charging current or discharge. AND SLOT, selecting which of the four SLOTs is being configured.
I really enjoyed the charger, Although it is too large and impractical to take on trips, for example. There is also a fan in the back that makes an annoying noise. He only calls when needed, especially when you want to charge four batteries at once. Even with these small problems, I'm satisfied. I even saved old batteries using the refresh system, charging and discharging repeatedly to “clean” the memory effect. Those interested can follow the link below Banggood store:
