Finally arrived here at home the V975w Wave, My first tablet with windows 8.1. Very interesting and functional, Despite some problems.
The box gives the tablet a Boy Scout! He seems very iPad Air! Several owners of internet V975w comment be possible enjoy some capinhas and the Apple model accessories.
Inside the box we also have a microUSB cable, a source of the 2.5, a manual ALL in CHINESE and a free license of Office 365 for a year. Amazing! I thought the Chinese tradition to come all piratão, but Windows and Office are original!
Here is the tablet! As well as another model of V972 wave with Android, the 9.7 screen” is the best feature, with a resolution of 2048×1536. Better than my desktop!
On the left side we have the microphone, SD card input, HDMI output (micro HDMI), entry to load the tablet microUSB and headphone output.
There is no connector on the right side, I left this photo just to show that the finish of the tablet is very good.
On the back there is a very nice aluminum finish. We also have a rear camera 5 m pixels. The lead is 2 m pixels.
Look at the serial number of the tablet. The above average quality is typical of the Wave brand. This tablet has 32 GB of “HD” (SD eMMC). In this picture you see also the two speakers.
Detail of the camera, the left and the power and volume buttons (+ and -).
Look how the screen is brilliant! One of the best features! The Boot is pretty fast: It takes about 10 seconds.
V975w Wave Hardware is an intel QuadCore z3735 of 1.83 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The GPU supports DirectX 11 and are also present WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI. Better than a lot of notebook 1000 to 1500 real here in Brazil.
I put my favorite wallpaper and installed some programs. I put my microsoft account and did some updates. Windows is really original (OEM)!
The fabric has good resolution, better than most TVs and normal monitors in Brazil.
The visibility is quite good, According to the manufacturer's 178 degrees.
Here we have the damn windows metro interface 8, but for a touchscreen tablet works great. Installed version 2013 the office and worked perfectly.
The front camera is very weak, as was to be expected. Nothing to comment here.
The rear camera has autofocus but no flash. Works right, but nothing phenomenal.
Being on a tablet with windows 8 You can use the functions of the idealized touchscreen for this operating system. You can find the applications that are running by sliding the finger on the left edge of the screen.
On the edge right: Search, share, Start, device and settings.
Open Control Panel as in a windows desktop. There's a virtual keyboard always available to the user in the lower right corner of the screen, next to the system tray.
Look around the control panel:
One of the first annoyances with the tablet is to change the language to Portuguese. It comes in English with a lot in Chinese, but on this screen “language” Control Panel it is possible to download and install a new language. Almost everything in Portuguese, with some occasional message in Chinese.
Installed the VLC media player, I use it on my desktop and it worked. However, due to the high resolution in small screen some controls were difficult to use.
But it worked. The video below is 720 p playing from a shared directory on the network, via WiFi.
The fabric quality, brightness and resolution, are very good.
You can also access the “Shop” applications for windows. A drug, There's nothing to pay.
The Word opens perfectly, in a few seconds. Excel and Powerpoint too.
A shame not to find almost any of the famous developers in the store, still have to eat a lot of grass to get Play on Google.
Google Chrome opens anything. Very nice to be able to access the desktop version of Facebook and other sites.
Bank sites also function. Just install the keeper and security extensions. We're in a real windows x 86!
To do an evaluation found this Benchmarking PeaceKeeper designed to run in the Browser even.
It tests the ability of the browser to support extensions and dynamic content today.
I ran the same test on my desktop computer. It's a lot faster, but not that much…
See Chrome extensions working normally.
The PeaceKeeper tests ability to play videos from sites like Youtube.
Final result: 1108. Superior to Ipad Air of fourth generation and a lot cheaper logically.
But not comparable to desktop that gives 5772.
The battery is quite reasonable, easy 4 ~ 6:0 hard some of NetFlix. Throughout the review (some 40 minutes) downloaded 10% with maximum brightness. I used all day with browser, videos and other nonsense and downloaded to 40%. Comparable to most notebooks.
There is no Ethernet network adapter (with wire), WiFi only. But there is support for all Windows network settings. Including remote desktop.
Windows Media player also works, for those who like this place.
I liked also the functioning of NetFlix. Without any problem in maximum resolution.
Playing a series of NetFlix in 720 p.
Everything worked perfectly with no need to install anything.
Another video on NetFlix:
Down there the description of windows already activated and original, excuse me. There's so much here that Brazil's notebook comes with Linux to cheapen!
A good tablet. Has only two defects: every now and then crashes, Although rarely, and sometimes battery discharges too much on standby. From what I've seen on the forums that has a solution, but it didn't bother me enough so far to make any installation or update of bios and drivers.
See the video I did about it:
In General, for as little as 600 real, is a great tablet. Will cheapen further in the coming months, so keep an eye because it's a great Christmas present: Lightweight and cheaper than a laptop and with all features and programs to a windows. I leave the link to the DealExtreme, where you bought the product:
Adriano, your tablet is still working fine? Do you know if it works with a usb adapter- RJ45 to use a network cable, non-wifi? Thank you, Hugs
Keep Yes. I did Bios updates, including published here at tudovemdachina. I think that would work with one ethernet adapter, Since there are no drivers for Windows 8.1. Maybe even with Windows drivers 7.
That good! I heard he has trouble keeping
bluetooth connected accessories.. That disconnect quickly… Do you know if these problems were fixed? The screen brightness is good?
Yes, had problems with Bluetooth, corrected with Bios update. The brightness is good, nothing to complain.
You were to be taxed on 60% right? In the case: 650R $ * 60% = 390 $ Tax
You were taxed on 150 and your purchase totaled in 800 +/-.. This taxing less than 60% It was luck???
Now that the dollar's 3R $ and the link q you bought all costing 780 R $ + tax(468R $) = 1250 !!!!!
If I pay the entire tax I'm is fucked up.. Hahaha.. You sent as gift???
Last question: V975w wave or Teclast X98 Air II ???
VLW!!!
I don't know the Teclast, only the Wave, that is very good. Send as gift makes no difference, they know it's a Tablet and always taxes as such. It doesn't matter if it's a Tablet cheap or expensive, taxation is on top of some 100 to 150 dollars of estimated price. Estimated by recipe. The Chinese always writes a low value ridiculous and the recipe, next thing you know be a Tablet, estimates a price best suited. They don't know it's a Tablet with Windows of more quality, tax as if it were a cheap.
but you did strikethrough? How was the transprte?
I was taxed Yes, in R $ 150 real. Shipping took a while, about of 2 and a half months, but it was good. No damage to the package.
Interested in this tablet. I really wanted a Surface, But beyond the high price, not is expected to arrive here, so I bought a ultrabook – but being able to have something even lighter for fast displacement is very good (and necessary).
He's quite lighter than a ultrabook…
I have the Pro Surface 3. It's fantastic. I never was much for Windows but I thought 8.1 works well for touch screens. My only fear with this wave is the amount of memory. For many applications today 2 GB are insufficient. With the 8 GB of Surface can utilize up to Adobe Premiere.
Works great on this tablet. The defects reported ended with updates from Windows update…
